In this semester, we needed to summit our CV. Since it was not my first time to write CV, I supposed it was a piece of cake for me at first. However, it became a puzzle when I assessed my current skills. As for work experience, I do have two-year experience and numbers of part time jobs, but none of them strongly connects to positions of Marketing or Advertising. To make my CV more attractive, I googled and searched for a better way of presence. Also, from one speaker of our Professional Skill, I learned one important element- make your CV different. To be honest, it is quite hard since a CV cannot be too “different” to make HR people even do not want to see. Then, I came up with an idea that the curriculum of A&M could help me let HR people understand my A&M abilities. Therefore, I built a table looking quite easy to understand, to perform my current abilities to attract them.

Besides, according to recruitment conditions I observed on the Job bank 104 in Taiwan, I found the skill of using social media plays an important role for many employers. I have two options to reinforce this skill. First, audit the lecture on Thursdays. Second, have a self-study by borrowing text books from library. I soon decided to set objectives by auditing this lecture even I did not choose it and copying hand-out from classmates. To measure how I have learned and will have learned, I will ask for my classmates’ advice and make sure if I can further utilize my understanding when I write essay of media planning in May.
